Prayer for those Affected by Haiti Earthquakes

Dear Lord, we pray for all those who have suffered so much as a result of the earthquakes that struck Haiti. May they find comfort and know that You are with them even in this dark time. Inspire generously in our hearts and may we, through our prayers, stand in solidarity with them as they grieve their dead, help those who are suffering and try to rebuild their lives. We ask this in your name, in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

ELIA SAIKALY: MOTIVATIONAL SPEAKER
AND FILMMAKER OF FINDING LIFE

FEBRUARY 17, 2010 PERIOD 4 (Grades 10-12)

Finding Life is the story of a filmmaker Elia Saikaly who unknowingly embarked on an incredible journey to the Himalayas and discovered his true purpose in life. After learning of the death of his mentor Dr. Sean Egan, who died on Mt Everest, Elia, never having climbed any mountain before, retraced his footsteps up the tallest mountain on earth. An emotional and heartwarming story of the incredible human spirit that reminds us of the possibilities that exist on the journey we are all on called LIFE.
