HOW WE LIVE OUR CATHOLIC FAITH

Our Belief

The St. Patrick's Intermediate School community believes that a Catholic school is one in which the teachings of Jesus Christ are integrated into the day-to-day curriculum and social fabric of school life. The strength of our school comes from the Catholic faith that the staff, students and community share. We aspire to have our students develop a way of living that embodies the life of Jesus Christ.

The staff and students of St. Patrick's Intermediate School have many opportunities to pray and demonstrate their Catholic faith. These opportunities include: school-wide and classroom liturgies, retreats, fundraising for charities and community service.

Our Partners

Father Greg Murray is invited to visit the school regularly and to participate in liturgical celebrations. The St. Patrick's Intermediate School community has a strong partnership with parish, school and home. Our parish representative serves as the liaison with our school and our parish.

PRESERVING OUR SCHOOL HISTORY - LAST YEAR IN REVIEW

Building on the present programs at St. Patrick's Intermediate, we will strive to enhance the resource support program and the gifted program. A safe and comfortable environment will continue to be provided by nurturing respect for everyone: students, parents, teachers and support staff. Our School Council will continue to be actively involved in developing the vision of our school and in profiling the students and the school in the community-at-large. Initiatives will be taken to publicize the school in various community newspapers and different events will be organized by the School Council to give parents the opportunity to be involved in the school community. In keeping with the times, the school will provide an up-to-date web page where parents and the community-at-large can learn more about the school, as well as academic programs and endeavours. Our main goal over the next year is to provide broader access to computer technology for our students. Provision to incorporate this tool in all subject areas will require a more creative dispersal of equipment.

    COMMUNITY RELATIONS

We believe our school should be at the centre of community activities. A focal point of the community, St. Patrick's Intermediate School is currently running at 77% capacity, with activities scheduled weeknights and on many weekends.
